Coolsculpting Cellulite Reviews
CoolSculpting has been clinically proven to reduce fat non-surgically and while many physicians are beginning to believe that it is actually achieving some skin tightening as well there have been no indications that it is effective for the treatment of cellulite.
The most recent buzz procedure in the cellulite space is a new treatment which just recently got FDA approval and is not yet commercially available call Cellfina.
Cellfina is owned by Merz the company that owns Ulthera and Radiesse and has shown some very promising results at the most recent Aesthetic Society meeting in Montreal. (Paul Vitenas, Jr., MD, Houston Plastic Surgeon)
Zeltiq – not intended to treat cellulite
Zeltiq is not intended to treat cellulite. However in many cases the cellulite appears to be lessened. I have not seen any studies to date measuring this effect and this is not the FDA indication.
Coolsculpting is the term used for how Zeltiq reduces stubborn areas of fat. (Joshua L. Fox, MD, Long Island Dermatologic Surgeon)
Zeltiq not the best treatment for cellulite
Zeltiq does reduce the thickness of the subcutaneous fatty layer but does not have a significant effect on cellulite.
Although there is no perfect treatment for cellulite Thermage may offer some improvement of skin surface contour. (Sam Naficy, MD, FACS, Seattle Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Cellulite solutions: CoolSculpting vs Thermage
Cellulite requires extra special treatment. It is many things, and in your case your weight is probably not a part. CoolSculpting is great for sculpting, or spot reduction of fat, probably not applicable to you.
You would be wise to consider and regimen of Thermage (one treatment to tighten and firm), Triactive (weekly treatments tapering to monthly to massage and firm), daily masage in the shower (Glytone Lipolift system works well to increase circulation and mobilize fluid) and top it off with a glycolic lotion to reduce crepiness and superficially crinkling.
No, Zeltiq does not work for cellulite
Zeltiq is a great device for very focal regions of fatty deposits on the belly, love handles and back rolls. The Zeltiq procedure will not treat cellulite (nothing in the non-invasive market will) and the Zeltiq head cannot be applied to the back of the thigh anyway.
You best bet for thigh skin laxity and smoothing the appearance of cellulite is liposuctionn with a thigh lift of some sort. (Scott C. Sattler, MD, FACS, Seattle Plastic Surgeon)
Cool sculpting/ Zeltiq for cellulite
At this time Zeltiq is for localized pockets of fat and not cellulite. Cellulite as we best understand it at this time, is from weakened fibers that hold our fat cells in our skin.
When these fibers are weak, they cannot hold onto the fat cells as wel allowing them to poke through to our skin surface giving that lumpy appearance.
We also know that local inflammation and vascular hanges contribute to cellulite. (Lori A. Brightman, MD, New York Dermatologic Surgeon)
Not the treament for Cellulite: Coolsculpting
Zeltiq does not treat the skin. Cellulite has 3 causes and they are all up near the skin surface. there may be other better modalties for cellultie, but it is not this. (Barry E. DiBernardo, MD, Montclair Plastic Surgeon)
Zeltiz Coolsculpting is not for treating a patient’s cellulite. it works for removing localized fat bulges in areas such as love handles and abdomen. It is safe, noninvasive and effective. (Steven Hacker, MD, West Palm Beach Dermatologic Surgeon)
No device removes cellulite, but Zeltiq can reduce its appearance
No device removes cellulite, but Zeltiq can reduce its appearance, as can liposuction. Since cellulite is actually caused by fibrous bands under the skin which create pockets of fat (like a quilted mattress), and removing the fat does not remove the bands, all fat removal treatments do not remove the cellulite.
But just like taking stuffing out of a mattress makes the mattress look smoother, Zeltiq and liposuction can reduce the appearance of cellulite by reducing the number of fat cells between these fibrous bands. (Lorrie Klein, MD, Laguna Niguel Dermatologic Surgeon)
Cool Sculpting by Zeltiq and Cellulite
Cool Sculpting by Zeltiq is not an effective treatment for Cellulite. There is only one FDA approved treatment for cellulite which is Velashape. An alternative treatment is called Mesotherapy but this is a non-FDA approved treatment for cellulite.
If you’re interested in reducing cellulite, you should come in to a reputable medical office for a consultation and learn more about your options but again, Zeltiq is not an effective treatment for cellulite but we’ve had excellent results with Velashape for the treatment of cellulite. (Amir Moradi, MD, San Diego Facial Plastic Surgeon)
