Biography: Keerstan is our lead aesthetician. She has been licensed for 12 years and has spent the last 10 years working in cosmetic dermatology at Charlotte Skin & Laser. Her extensive knowledge and passion for the skincare industry is what sets her apart. This is clearly shown through her work and proven through her high retention rate and loyal client following.

She dedicates many hours to continuing education to ensure that she is informed on the latest technologies, techniques and skincare ingredients available. Our staff members refer to her as a walking “encyclopedia” of skin knowledge and solutions.

Her specialties include dermaplaning, microneedling, extractions and acne treatments for teens and adults and advanced chemical peel applications on patients of all skin types and tones. She believes in consistency and customization to help her patients reach their skincare goals.

Name: Kristin Brunson

Position: Registered Nurse

Biography: Kristin is the Clinical Manager and nurse injector at Charlotte Skin and Laser. She has over 14 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, and almost 12 of those years have been with Dr. Rostan at CSL. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration from Appalachian State University in 2002. She went on to obtain her Registered Nurse license from Mercy School of Nursing in Charlotte, where she graduated as class Salutatorian. Kristin started her nursing career working in the Carolinas Medical Center cardiac critical care unit caring for heart transplant patients. She came to Charlotte Skin and Laser in 2008 where her love and passion for aesthetics and skin care blossomed.

Kristin is certified in laser treatments such as Fraxel Re:Store, Infini, the Venus systems, Exilis, Lutronic LaseMD, and Profound. She began injecting neuromuscular relaxers in 2012 in which she trained directly under Dr. Rostan.

Position: Registered Nurse

Biography: Robyn Allen has been in cosmetic dermatology for 16 years. She graduated from Queens University in Charlotte, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following graduation, Robyn worked with Dr. Elizabeth Rostan as a medical assistant for 4 years before attending nursing school at Queens University Presbyterian School of Nursing. Robyn received her Associate degree in Nursing and has been a practicing nurse for 10 years.

Robyn assists Dr. Rostan in the operating room with a variety of surgical procedures, such as: liposuction, Thermitight, blepharoplasty, and skin cancer surgeries. She has also had extensive training in lasers and attended the American Society of Lasers and Medicine.

Personally, Robyn enjoys comic conventions and costuming. She also loves gardening, cooking, and spending time with family and her dog Becky.

Biography: Pursuing her passion for skincare, Serena graduated top of her class from the Aveda Institute of Charlotte in 2017. She began her career at an award-winning boutique spa, where she recognized her passion for treating acneic skin, since she too once suffered from problematic blemishes.
Serena has constantly prioritized education and is dedicated to treating patients on a clinical level, by working closely with our physicians. She is devoted to helping every patient achieve their best skin possible. By finding a balance between prescriptive medications and medical grade skin care, she strives to set an example for how her patients are treated and cared for at every level. Possessing a diverse skill set is equally important to Serena, thus prompting her to attain a masterful level of body hair waxing, eyebrow threading, chemical peels, and extractions.

Biography: Brooke has 15 years of experience in aesthetics. Her unique skill set enables her to offer a wide range of cosmetic services. A graduate of Elizabeth Grady School of Esthetics in 2005, she began her career in luxury spas. She pursued medical esthetics, obtaining more comprehensive education in skin pathologies, and acquired certifications in chemical peels and microdermabrasion. Brooke attained her certification in Laser Technology at The National Laser Institute in 2014. Combining her experience and compassion with state-of-the-art technologies at Charlotte Skin and Laser, she can provide her patients with the best care. She finds her greatest reward in helping patients not only improve their physical appearance but gain self-confidence. Brooke’s sensitivity to her patient’s concerns helps them feel comfortable & educated about their procedures.
