After removing implants due to infection I usually wait about 3 months to let the body completely clear the infection and swelling to come down. Usually after that amount of time it is safe to place the implants once again and take antibiotics for 5 days after surgery. Amount of time to wait can vary from patient to patient so an in office exam is important to determine this.

With proper retracting tools the incision is reopened in the armpit and the implant can be deflated or removed without deflation depending on the size of the implant. The capsule is your own body’s natural scar tissue around the implant, it does not spread. It can be removed but is not necessary if it is thin. If it is very thick it may need to be removed, otherwise removal of the scar tissue can possibly cause deformity to the breast.

This is from scar tissue pulling inward and making the nipple point down. I have seen this a lot after breast implant removal and it can be corrected with a scar revision. Sometimes it can only improved but not completely corrected. Fat grafting may be an option to provide some thickness to the thin area that has been separated from surgery.

If the asymmetry is great enough different sizes can be placed. If it is only a slight difference the same implant can be put in. You can go back and have the one side swapped out for a different size to match better if you feel the need to do so.

The implant shell has some volume which will make is seem like you are slightly smaller. A lift will only remove a very thin layer of the skin making the breast perky, tight, and reduce your areola size. Patients who have a breast lift may perceive that their breasts are smaller because the skin is tight and the breast is no longer floppy and needing to be stuffed in a bra. Areola color is not changed with surgery.

The implants that I have been using in the last 10 years are cohesive gel meaning they stay intact even if there is a break in the implant lining. Yes your implants look like they need to be repositioned and they aren’t in the correct position in relation to your breast tissue. It’s usually recommended to wait 6 months to have surgery again but you may qualify to have surgery sooner as the implant is already bottoming out. I’d get in for an in person consultation.

Every person with implants placed under the muscle has animation deformity, it is normal. Everyone naturally has one breast slightly higher than the other and usually start out with one higher. There is no need for surgery from what I can see.

You may have developed an allergy to something that you put on topically. Try refraining from using your lotions and deodorants and see if it subsides. You may want to see your doctor for a routine check-up.
