Unfortunately, you’re going to get docs answering according to which laser THEY use – but, it’s not always the best/cheapest. Pico lasers are NOT going to be cheaper, overall. They cost twice as much, on average, as great Q-switched lasers that can get you similar results with similar number of treatments. I would suggest you find a place with GREAT reviews with their OWN before and after photos (not “company” photos.) Find a tattoo that looks similar to yours (similar colors, similar skin…

Why? 1. It, almost certainly, won’t work (if there were any indication this worked, everyone would do it, see results, and we’d see medical studies about it!)2. It could damage your skin, especially considering sensation can be compromised (it might be a little numb,) in the treatment area, following the Coolsculpting.I hope that helps 🙂

It’s MUCH safer than the wavelengths generally used in Pico Lasers, which tend to cause lightening of the skin (which, can be permanent.) The Pico lasers also cost twice as much, in spite of them, largely, not living up to their claim of removing tattoos in “half the treatments.” Look at before and after photos (from the physician’s office, themselves, with the number of treatments needed, and, you’ll see what I mean.) Bottom Line: It won’t help enough to make a big difference, or, be worth the money. It’s a good procedure, but, it’s really for “fine touches”, and, doesn’t work very well if people have significant excess fat. Sorry, but, save your money (especially if it’s, mostly, for your brother’s wedding in a few months.) Your brother and family love you just the way you are 🙂

If you don’t care about the loose skin, and, you just want a bit less “bulk”, the Coolsculpting could be a good treatment, for you! If the loose skin “drives you crazy”, then, go to a plastic surgeon for a tummy tuck! 😉  Hope that helps!

I disagree that you “need” to get this tattoo treated with a Pico laser. Pico lasers cost twice as much, and have more risks than a Q-switched YAG, for a tattoo like yours. I would estimate 8-10 treatments. Cost will vary, but, I’d estimate $290/treatment, “ball park”. Hope that helps 🙂

You can likely get these flattened by a provider who does ablative laser treatments (like CO2 or Erbium.) You will still have a scar, of course, but, it should be flat. Depending on why they believe your skin raised (that’s not a normal response), they may inject you with a steroid, as well. Hope that helps 🙂

When you say, “there was no cooling effect or freezing” – If you mean that you didn’t have the sensation of a cooling effect, that can be perfectly normal (we see it, often.) I’m so sorry that happened to you. I know it is very distressing. We have used, very successfully, a great Q-switched YAG laser (you don’t “need” a pico) to remove this. However, no matter what laser is used, I would strongly suggest a TEST SPOT, to see how the ink responds. It COULD get darker, before it gets lighter, and, a test spot should tell you that! Healing time should be minimal, and, you should not see any scarring 🙂

It will take a lot of treatments (likely 9 or more,) and, likely, well over a year to remove it. You don’t need a pico laser (which costs twice as much), but, you do need a good q-switched laser with three true wavelengths (1064/532 and either 755 or 694,) to appropriately treat the blacks, reds, and greens. The price will vary, of course, but, in our office, it is $290/treatment.) I hope that helps 🙂

You don’t need a Picosecond laser (which costs twice as much) – just a good Q-switched YAG will do a great job! Wait until it heals (usually ~2 wks), and, then goodbye, tattoo! (maybe 4ish treatments?)

Is it all black ink? That tends to be removed most easily and with fewest risks. A good q-switched laser can do a great job at that (without “ghost” images or raised scars, like some have suggested.) Picosecond lasers cost twice as much, and can cause significant hypopigmention (white areas on your skin.) Hope that helps, and saves you some money 😉

Did the ink go all the way around your finger? That can cause excessive swelling, and, can even cut off circulation and be dangerous. If you have loss of sensation or extreme pain, you should be seen by an MD immediately. If it’s “just” swelling, use RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation), and, it should start getting better 🙂 Hope that helps!
