Thanks for your inquiry, unfortunately after the laser tattoo removal , sometimes your skin reaction can be unpredicatable but it most cases you can expect blistering , redness and swelling for a few days which you may plan to avoid doing heavy physical working activities, due to risk of scarring, skin damage or infection. Yes it is safe and is called R20 , where three laser sessions are combined into one session with 20 minutes interval in beween laser treatments.It is proven clinically to remove more ink in shorter period of time.

I believe your dermatologist is right and your acne needs to be treated and under control first, before you initiate for any cosmetic procedure. I think your skin would benefit more from a few mild to medium chemical peel and professional home care regimen , prescribed by your dermatologist as well as micro needling with or without radio frequency . I believe a number of options can be chosen to reduce the visibility of the scar but I suggest that it might be too early to have any of those options due to freshness of your scar tissue as in most cases tissue can self-correct and peel away after 8-10 weeks.
