It is imperative to have an eyebrow transplant with an experienced hair restoration surgeon because the direction and angle must be perfect at the beginning. Unfortunately, your eyebrow hair direction is permanent and I understand why you are not happy. The hair will also grow at the same rate as scalp hair and will need to be trimmed often. To correct this, you may need to have the aberrant hairs removed or electrolysis performed.

Will my new hair still grow if I have seborrheic dermatitis?

It is normal for the newly transplanted hairs to fall out at 5 weeks. Even though you have seborrheic dermatitis, this will have no effect on the transplanted hairs.

Will DHT receptors on my face accept a beard transplant?

Can I get Botox before the last Botox treatment wears off?

When you start to see some movement of the muscles, that is a good time to receive your next Botox injection. This is called "disuse atrophy." When you paralyze the muscles, the shrink in size. When the Botox wears off, the muscles start to move again, and will enlarge. That is the best time to reinject with the Botox to keep the muscles small and hopefully you will need less Botox moving forward.

14 weeks post FUE and I want another opinion on how my results look?

PRP is not one of the main treatments for AA. You need to first establish a diagnosis with a health care professional who specializes in hair loss disorders. There are various medications for AA including steroids and oral medications. PRP has been studied for scarring and nonscarring alopecia and shown some promising results, but I recommend starting with proven regimens first.

Is uneven skin normal after beard transplant for a certain period?

Immediately after a bear transplant, patient experience swelling and unevenness. It takes time for all that to settle down, but after a few weeks, all the swelling should have resolved and there should no longer be any irregularity in the contour of the skin. If this persists, I recommend that you seek consultation from your surgeon.

Do I need to clean my scalp before applying Minoxidil?

You want to put on the minoxidil with a clean scalp so hair products don't interfere with the delivery of the medication. So after a shower is the best time to put it on whether this is in the morning are after a shower at night. Some patients put way too much minoxidil on their scalp: follow the recommendations on the label for the correct dosage. Lastly don't expect results for at least 6 months.

How many grafts would I need to lower hairline and bald areas? I know I need to be seen by a Dr.

The most important aspect of your hair restoration journey will be if you are still using weaves that are pulling the hairs, and are you suspect to further loss. Assuming the answer to these questions is no, then I believe you need at least 3000 grafts to transplant the frontal hairline and temple areas to restore your prior hairline and frontal zone. It may take more then one procedure to get the results you are seeking.

Leg hair can certainly be used for eyelash transplants; however, leg hair as a donor is notoriously poor as it does not have the longevity of other hair throughout the body. Secondly, eyelash transplants are very difficult to perform so if you are going to have it done, make sure you go to a surgeon with experience in eyelashes as there are serious longterm complications if done poorly.

It is normal for the newly transplanted hairs to emerge thin, and over time, they thicken up. You need to give it at least 1 year before jumping to conclusions - sometimes 1.5 years. Given the fact that the hairs are coming out is a great sign that the hairs survived the hair restoration process and hopefully they will thicken up to the same degree as the hairs in the donor area.

Can I expect these fine hairs to develop into strands of visible hair?

With PRP therapy, some people respond, and others do not. Given the fact that you are developing fine hair is a good sign that you may be a responder. Most people do respond to PRP, and the degree that people respond varies. Again, given the fact that you are responding favorably at this point, continue with the therapy by a qualified, hair restoration physician.

When can I get SMP after FUE hair transplant?

There is no hard, fast rule for when SMP can be performed, but typically after a few months once all the sites have healed, patients may go forward with SMP. Make sure you go to an experienced person to do the procedure as the ink may spread more in scar tissue making an unnatural appearance.

Can I use hair products (gel, Clay, fiber, etc..) 5 months Post FUE?

At this point, you can use whatever products you may wish. The grafts are set by 10 days, although I'm cautious and tell my patients to wait until 2 weeks before using products on their hair. If there is any doubt, then my patients return at around 12 days after surgery for an evaluation.
