This is a great question! I do monsplasty as part of all my abdominoplasty surgeries- I do lipo over the area if needed, and make the abdominoplasty incision lower so that the mons is lifted.

But... not all surgeons do this. And if you have surgery with someone who isn't "mons aware" it could result in this area looking puffy below your newly flat tummy. I definitely recommend bringing this up at your consultation!

Tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty surgery, addresses loose skin and separated muscles (rectus diastasis). Both of these are visible in your photo. Unfortunately there's no way to get the results of a tummy tuck without surgery. The recovery can be tough for the first couple of weeks. The answer to your question depends on what kind of stents you have. If you have drug-eluting stents you may need to stay on aspirin for the rest of your life. This would make liposuction unsafe. If you have bare metal stents then you may be able to come off aspirin for surgery. I would check with your cardiologist before seeing a plastic surgeon, and if you have had a heart attack within the last year it may be best to wait on any elective surgery. Best of luck to you!

Thank you for your question!Tummy tuck surgery tightens stretched muscles and removes excess skin. So it will make your tummy flatter. That being said, you will likely still have some stretch marks as well as a new scar. So tummy tuck surgery can't give you back the stomach you had before kids, but it can make a huge improvement. CoolSculpting is a great technology, but as a surgeon who does both a significant amount of CoolSculpting and liposuction, I would not recommend CoolSculpting for the lower legs. It is very likely to leave an indentation. Lower legs are best treated with liposuction by a surgeon experienced in lipo, as they can be very difficult to obtain a nice result on. I recommend seeing a board certified plastic surgeon to see if you are a candidate. Best of luck to you!

Traveling for surgery can save you money, but as you are unfortunately finding out, if you have a complication you may be stuck. Your best option is truly to return to your operating surgeon. Seromas need to be drained, often several times, before they heal. There is nothing you can do on your own to treat it. And I would not recommend working out at the gym as this could make a seroma worse. Best of luck to you.

If you are concerned about your breast aug results and worried you might have capsular contracture, the safest thing to do is to see your surgeon. You'll certainly get many answers about what is normal here on Real Self, but the only way to actually diagnose capsular contracture is with physical exam, meaning you need to be seen in person by your surgeon.  Best of luck to you!

I would not recommend getting an IPL laser treatment just before a facelift. Although IPL is non invasive, it can cause some inflammation which might affect your surgery results.

Numbness over the ear is a risk of facelift surgery. Most of the time the numbness is temporary, but it can take months for the sensation to return. If it's only been a month, try to be patients. You'll know if the nerve is recovering if you start to feel pins and needles, or if the numb area becomes gradually smaller. Best of luck to you.

Appendicitis is an infection in the appendix, which is a little outpouch from your colon. A tummy tuck only treats the skin and muscles of your abdominal wall- it does not enter the abdominal cavity, and cannot cause appendicitis. Sorry you are going through this, and I hope you feel better!

500g removed during a breast reduction is a pound per side, so you should see at least some difference in size. That said, if you are still larger than you would like, it is certainly possible to have a second surgery. In rare cases insurance may even cover a second operation if you are still having symptoms of back and neck pain etc. It's definitely worth seeing a plastic surgeon about- if you're not happy with your original surgeon, seek a second opinion. If a muscle repair is needed as part of a tummy tuck (and it is the majority of the time) I include this in my surgical fee. I charge by time, so if a muscle repair isn't needed, that cuts down on cost a little bit. Every surgeon is different though, so I would recommend asking the surgeon you are seeing what his or her policy is.

Breastfeeding after surgery is a topic with a lot of misinformation out there. As a doctor who has breastfed two babies, here is the correct info:You do not need to pump and dump after surgery.
