Coolsculpting is an FDA cleared, safe, non invasive method of getting rid of Fat Cells in the Belly area for good. However, a physical exam is mandatory to be certain that you are a good candidate for Coolsculpting. Usually the results for Coolsculpting of the Double Chin are gradual. It is possible that in 10 days you may just be noticing the inflammation going down after the procedure and interpreting this as a reduction in the fat. The fat cells are not removed so quickly, it will take 2-3 months for full results (typically 20-25% reduction in the fat layer). Be patient, it will likely even out and give you pleading results.

It depends if you have a significant under arm fat bulge. If there is Visible and “Pinchable” fat present, then having Coolsculpting done to that area should produce significant results. There should be no issues with having CoolSculpting done after a hip replacement as long as the area is well healed and you have clearance from your surgeon. Usually the area treated to target the love handles lies well above the incision made during hip replacement surgery. Make sure you are under the care of an experienced physician and discuss your full medical history with them.

Areas treated by Coolsculpting do tend to swell just a little bit right after the treatment. I like to call this “puffiness.” It is just a normal reaction and should resolve within 1-2 weeks. The “weight gain” you are seeing is most likely related to water retention or inflammation and will also resolve very soon.
