Can I take antibiotics after CoolSculpting?
Taking antibiotics after CoolSculpting
Jan 5, 2018
Taking antibiotics should not affect the results of CoolSculpting. However, antibiotics are not needed after a CoolSculpting procedure either. The results of CoolSculpting are usually seen at 12 weeks after the procedure. I hope this helps.
Can coolsculpting help me?
Wait a Few Months, Then Re-evaluate
Apr 10, 2017
It's certainly safe to have a CoolSculpting procedure after liposuction, once your body has had sufficient time to heal from surgery. Although your incisions are healed and you're back to your regular activities, your treatment area may still be "settling" and healing internally. It's a good idea to give yourself a few more months before undergoing CoolSculpting. Evaluate your results at the 9-month mark and make your decision then. Good luck to you.
What is better cool sculpture or traditional liposuction?
How Much Would You Like to Reduce?
Apr 10, 2017
While CoolSculpting can help reduce the amount of fat you have on your back, it may require several treatments before you see the results you want. On the other hand, liposuction can create ideal results after a single surgery. This is largely your decision and it's up to you to decide whether you’d prefer multiple appointments with no associated downtime or a single surgery with a recovery period. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon to help you decide what's best.

3 Months Is the Rule
Apr 10, 2017
Thanks for your question and the accompanying photo. You appear to be in great shape, which certainly increases your odds of a better result with CoolSculpting. While some patients do see results at the 1-month mark, the official guideline is 3 months before full results are visible. Keep in mind that results develop gradually, so it may be a bit before you notice a change in the mirror. I recommend revisiting your results at the 3-month mark. It's likely that your results will be much more...
Will one coolsculpting section get rid of this little pooch?
CoolSculpting Can Help if Exercise Can't
Apr 10, 2017
Your photos seem to indicate that you'd be a good candidate for CoolSculpting. The lower abdomen is an extremely popular treatment area and typically responds quite well. While you do have a visible bulge in this area, it doesn't appear to have a significant amount of fat. I think you're likely to get good results from CoolSculpting if you choose a qualified provider.
Considering Cool Sculpting, is it worth it? Does it work?
It Works for the Right Candidates
Apr 10, 2017
I've seen some fantastic results with CoolSculpting, and my patients are usually very satisfied with it. But it's not for everyone. It works best on people who are in generally good shape but have localized areas of fat that they want to reduce. CoolSculpting can't treat all parts of the body yet, either. Currently, it's effective on the thighs, abdomen, flanks, under the chin, and beneath the buttocks. Based on your photos, it does appear that you'd be a good candidate, depending on your...

No Need for Adjusted Activities
Apr 10, 2017
One advantage CoolSculpting has over other fat reducing procedures is that it doesn't require any sort of downtime or adjusted behavior after treatment. Swelling and soreness are common for a few days afterward, and you may get relief from an NSAID (such as aspirin or ibuprofen) or a compression garment. However, time is usually the best remedy. In the weeks following your treatment, your swelling will decrease significantly and your results will appear.
I've had one CoolMini under my chin. How long should I wait before deciding if I need a second?
It Depends on These Factors
Apr 10, 2017
It's not uncommon for someone to undergo multiple CoolSculpting treatments, whether it be with CoolMini or another applicator. In some cases, your doctor will recommend multiple treatments during your initial consultation, especially if you'd like to treat an area with significant unwanted fat. It's up to you to determine how long you want to wait to have a second treatment. By the 3-week mark, you should have a good idea of what your ultimate results will look like, and you can confidently...
Can you get CoolSculpting after liposuction?
CoolSculpting and Liposuction Are Compatible
Apr 10, 2017
There's no medical reason to prevent you from undergoing CooSculpting after liposuction, especially if enough time has elapsed and your body has healed. However, neither of these procedures will yield substantial, lasting results if healthy habits aren’t practiced. Although you don't need to be actively losing weight to see results, you should be able to maintain your weight to get the most out of your treatment. No aesthetic procedure, whether it's CoolSculpting or something else, is a s...

Is It Fat or Skin?
Apr 10, 2017
Although CoolSculpting is effective on the abdomen, the primary concern after a significant weight loss is usually excess skin, not fat. Without the fat to fill it out, skin becomes loose and saggy. CoolSculpting is not a skin tightening procedure and therefore wouldn't be a good match for you if that is what’s needed. I recommend seeing a qualified plastic surgeon or dermatologist near you who can help determine the cause of your hanging belly. Once you know what's causing it, you can m...
CoolSculpting recovery. Should I be concerned that my belly is jiggly after 2 weeks?
At This Stage, Swelling Is Normal
Apr 10, 2017
I can't say for certain without an in-person consultation, but some swelling at this stage of the healing process is normal and typically isn't cause for alarm. I recommend you give your body a bit more time to develop results. If you're still dissatisfied after another couple of weeks, I recommend seeing your original provider to determine the cause of the unsatisfactory results.
What about losing more weight after CoolSculpting?
Continued Weight Loss Is Fine
Nov 17, 2016
Ideally, you’ll want to already be at or near your goal weight before undergoing CoolSculpting, but continuing to lose weight afterwards is perfectly alright. The key thing to consider is the elasticity of your skin. As you've mentioned, CoolSculpting targets specific areas and may be appropriate for you at this point. But if your skin is loose now, or becomes increasingly saggy as you lose more weight, the decrease in fat after CoolSculpting won’t be noticeable anymore. Find an exp...
Can cool sculpting be done on fat surrounding a scar?
Not Certain It Will Give You the Desired Result
Nov 17, 2016
Yes, a CoolSculpting treatment in the area shown is possible, because the scar is a year old. Whether or not it produces the results you want is another question. Because CoolSculpting targets fat cells, I doubt that it will significantly change the appearance of your scar. It may be best to consult with a board-certified dermatologist who offers a range of medical spa options, including treatments for reducing scars.
Is 6 weeks to short to see visible results from Coolsculpting?
CoolSculpting Results Emerge Gradually
Nov 17, 2016
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! You're correct, however, that it takes at least 3 months after a CoolSculpting treatment to notice the results. And in most cases, patients need 2 treatments, scheduled at least a month apart, to get the best results. Liposuction can produce more immediate results, however you will also need to factor in recovery time (and it is more expensive). Best of luck.
Do I need to be at my goal weight before having cool sculpting done?
At or Near Goal Weight is Best
Nov 17, 2016
Es, the best candidates for a CoolSculpting — meaning patients who will benefit the most — are close to their goal weight. That's because CoolSculpting is not a weight-loss treatment. Rather, as its name suggests, the procedure creates smoother contours by targeting localized pockets of fat in areas such as the abdomen, thighs, or flanks. Consult with a board-certified specialist to discuss your specific aesthetic concerns and determine if CoolSculpting is right for you.
