Lump after Juvederm
Jun 5, 2019
Thank you for sharing photos.  I recommend following up with your injector for evaluation as soon as possible, so they can see, as well as feel the area of concern.  It is very likely you will need to have some hyaluronidase injected into the area to dissolve the product.  I always tell my patients that after they heal, they should not see the product, feel the product or have any tenderness.  It is not atypical to still have a little firmness, bruising or tenderness at day 5, but your phot...

Can you have CoolSculpting six weeks after you have a baby?
May 9, 2019
Hello and thank you for your question.  It is a best practice to wait a minimum of six months after you've had your baby, and one year if you've had a C-section.  Also, we would wait until after you finish breastfeeding to begin any treatment.  It sounds like you are on the right track and you may even need less treatments if you wait until the six month mark.  Good luck and congratulations on your new baby!

Is it normal after three months to not see results?
May 2, 2019
Hello and thank you for your question.  In most cases, it takes more than one series of treatments to achieve a "Wow" result.  When you visit your provider for your updated photos, you may be pleasantly surprised with your before and after pictures.Nutrition and exercise will also contribute to your results.  Wishing you best of luck on your CoolSculpting journey!
What injectable should be used to raise the corners of my mouth?
Marionette lines
Apr 11, 2019
It would have been helpful to see your entire face in your photo.  Volume loss occurs over the entire face and volume loss in mid face can make marionettes, as you have shown and described, worse because gravity exacerbates this area.  I often treat cheeks AND lower face to lift and support skin as well as create "triangle of youth".  If you consistently treat the lower face without addressing the midface, you may correct to lines you see, but your face shape will turn boxy which is not yout...
How Much Units of Masseters Botox to Start With?
Botox dose and Masseters
Apr 11, 2019
Every patient's treatment is individualized, therefore doses can vary.  A larger masseter may require more units , but not always.  I tend to start off with 10 units each side and monitor effectiveness.  The highest does I have had to use to achieve desired results was 40 units each side.  There is nothing wrong with being conservative, but if you are not getting the desired effect or longevity, then units need to be increased.
Is it normal for Botox in the forehead and around the eyes to wear off after two months?
Longevity of Botox
Apr 11, 2019
While Botox effects typically last 3-4 months on the average person, some may be longer and others may be shorter.  There are many things that can effect longevity of Botox or other neurotoxins.  Dose, injector placement, metabolism, and duration of receiving Botox treatments are just a few considerations. Another factor to consider is the simple aging process.  Over time we lose volume and structural support and the muscles are able to contract more.  When we are younger, there is an even p...
I am fit but have some excess belly fat, is CoolSculpting the right solution for me?
is CoolSculpting right for me
Mar 14, 2019
Hello and thank you for your question.  Based on your photo it looks like CoolSculpting would help with the small pocket of fat around your abdomen.  You may want to consider Emsculpt to compliment the treatment, as well as Exilis Ultra and/or some microneedling for skin tightening for the stretch marks.  These are all non-invasive treatments which will allow you to maintain your daily activities and still realize great results.  We always recommend a consultation to ensure your safety...
I had CoolSculpting one week ago on my lower abdomen. Is it normal to start itching at this point?
itching after CoolSculpting
Mar 14, 2019
Hi and thank you for your question.  Yes, itching is one of the sensations you may experience after a treatment.  Some patients also experience swelling, numbness, tenderness and bruising after a treatment.  All of these are normal and will subside in a few days or weeks.  We advise you to contact your provider if the condition worsens beyond two weeks.Good luck !

Options for Body Contouring
Feb 19, 2019
Hello and thank you for your question.  Based on your information and photos, it looks like you would be a good candidate for CoolSculpting and Emsculpt combined.  Both are non-invasive, FDA cleared treatments.  With Emsculpt you will get the added benefit of increased muscle tone and definition and you may need less CoolSculpting treatments if you do both. You may want to find a practice that offers multiple options to achieve optimal results.  It is always recommended to have a compreh...

No bruises or marks one day after CoolSculpting treatment
Jan 23, 2019
Hello and thank you for your question.  It is perfectly normal to have a treatment and not have bruising or swelling.  During our initial consultation, we tell patients that it is possible to have bruising, swelling, and possible numbness after their treatment.  We also advise our patients to wait 3-4 weeks before expecting to feel or see any changes, and 3-4 months to reach their ultimate results from the treatment.  Best of luck to you and hope your 'after' pictures exceed your expectations!
Can you have fillers done within the same week as Ultherapy?
Ultherapy and Filler
Jan 17, 2019
Thank you for your question.  If you are doing Ultherapy and hyaluronic acid fillers in the same area we suggest doing Ultherapy 1st and wait approximately a week for the swelling to subside then proceed with your filler.  If you are planning on a filler for collagen stimulation such as Sculptra, we like to do them the sameday, using the Sculptra 1st and Ultherapy immediately after.
Can Accutane permanently make your skin sensitive to the sun? After taking the medicine, I itch like
Hells itch...yikes!
Jan 14, 2019
I honestly have not had any experiences with a patient and this type of reaction. The purpose of Accutane is to minimize the oil glands for a duration of time, usually 4-6 months. After the medication is discontinued though, the oil glands will gradually enlarge again, but not to the same size as before. This is why some patient's acne can return but is usually not as severe. With that being said, your body isn't producing AS MUCH oil as it was previously, but it shouldn't be so much so that...

Number of treatments for an abdomen
Jan 3, 2019
Hello and thank you for your questions.  The number of treatments depends on a few things including how the fat presents itself, along with your anatomy.  Some people have a longer torso than others, and there are times when it is recommended to treat above the belly button and one more area above that in order to achieve the desired outcome. As it is possible to have some swelling, numbness and bruising afterwards, we recommend you do the treatments on the same day if your schedule per...

Why you may not see results after your CoolSculpting treatment
Dec 27, 2018
Thank you for your question.  There are times when a patient feels like they haven't achieved any results.  I recommend you see your provider, review your before and after pictures, and determine a plan of action.  It is common to treat the same area 2-3 times to realize your goals.  Is there anything else that could be contributing to below standard results such as changes in your health, nutrition, or fitness routine?  These are all thing to consider while you are going through your trea...

Hydrafacial during breastfeeding
Dec 20, 2018
Hello and thank you for your question. The hydrafacial contains salicylic acid and willow bark. Pregnancy and breastfeeding are contraindications and is not recommended to receive one. Other facials are appropriate and can be customized. Make sure and let your provider know you are breastfeeding.
