Can filler come out of a burst lip?
Fillers can not leak out of a lip cold sore
Mar 13, 2018
Fillers can not leak out of a lip cold sore. The cold sore blisters are very superficial. The filler is deeply dispersed in the lip tissues and can only be removed by dissolving it.
Can l apply an oil and/or a moisturiser containing oils over my application of Retin-A?
Better not to apply oils or moisturizers after Retin A
Mar 13, 2018
No one can tell you if mixing Retin A with moisturizers decreases the potency of the Retin A, or not. No good studies have been published on this bit of home chemistry. If you are concerned about dryness, use a lower strength Retin A, or, use a moisturizer the next morning
Is it safe to do liposuction in the clinic?
A number of studies have shown that liposuction is safer in an outpatient environment than in a hospital
Feb 16, 2017
A number of studies have shown that liposuction is safer in an outpatient environment than in a hospital. This is because clinics which specialize in liposuction are often better equipped for this procedure than a general hospital. Also the infection rate in hospitals is up to ten times higher because hospitals are full of sick patients.William P. How long after the hair implant, I can start using Minoxidil 5%?
Minoxidil is a nice companion to a hair transplant
Feb 5, 2017
Minoxidil is a nice companion to a hair transplant. The goal is to keep as much hair as possible and put off future transplants. Minoxidil can normally be resumed within about two wweks after the transplant.William P. I want to know the best lipo procedure with least scarring and downtime for underarm fat.
Liposuction is much more effective than coolsculpting
Feb 5, 2017
Liposuction is much more effective than coolsculpting. You will see this hidden among the disclosures for coolsculpting, but many people are so anxious to have a non-surgical procedure, they do not pay attention. Liposuction under local anesthesia requires only one day of rest and then you can resume most activity. I love doing liposuction for arm fat because I can truly sculpt. And with only one treatment you can get far better results than with a non-surgical procedure.William P. Coleman ...
Why does my recovery from 30% TCA peel seem so different?
Everyone heals differently from a chemical peel.
Feb 5, 2017
Everyone heals differently from a chemical peel. Check with your doctor to verify that you are healing as expected. The final results take months to finalize and they may have nothing to do with the earlier healing period.William P. If you're not a board certified plastic surgeon, shouldn't you be allowed to perform surgery
Dermatologists pioneered many of the advances in liposuction
Feb 5, 2017
One of the most common misconceptions in medicine is that plastic surgeons are the only ones qualified to perform liposuction. In fact, from its earliest days, liposuction has been a procedure practiced by a number of specialties, chief among them Dermatology.  Dermatologists have pioneered a number of important advances in the procedure. Dermatologists and plastic surgeons are the only two specialties which require training in liposuction in residency. However residency training in ...
I am wanting to get treatment for my fat. I also have fat in the pubic area. How much is it?
Local anesthesia liposuction is ideal for minor deposits in the pubic area
Jan 6, 2017
Local anesthesia has many advantages for liposuction of the abdomen and pubic area.Recovery is rapid: many of my patients begin mild exercise one day after the lipo. Please see a dermatologic surgeon in your area who is experienced in using local anesthesia.Good luck!Dr William Coleman
20% TCA peel- new skin is very red?
Redness after peel
Jan 6, 2017
20% TCA peels have a variety of effects depending on how the peel was applied.Since this is your first peel presumably go back to your doctor to be sure it is healing properly

Exrecise and diet after liposuction
Jan 5, 2017
A proper lifestyle is more important than the liposuction to achieving ones goals. If it is worth having lipo, it is worth beginning a long term life change to maintain the results. Lipo just treats the ares of excess fat which do not match the rest of the body. Diet and exercise treat the whole body.1) Find an exercise you like and do it everyday, no skipping! Mix up your exercises so you do not get stale.2 )If you do not understand nutrition make an appointment with a nutritionist at your ...

Fit people with minimal excess fat may respond to non-invasive fat destruction.
Nov 4, 2015
Fit people with minimal excess fat may respond to non-invasive fat destruction, but most will benefit far more from local anesthesia liposuction. The downtime is 24 hours and only one procedure is required. Many surgeons will recommend tummy tucks for everyone who walks into their offices. This of course leaves a long scar. Dermatologic surgeons who are experienced in liposuction often add various energy based devices to the procedure which gives excellent tightening without the scar.
How long does it take topical vitamin c serum to lighten skin dark spot?
topical vitamin C may take the rest of your life to fade a dark spot
Nov 4, 2015
There is simply no reliable evidence that topical Vitamin C can do much of anything positive to the skin. you will notice that claims of success always include the use of other techniques simultaneously. See your dermatologist to diagnose the dark spot first and then follow his/her instructions.
How can I avoid odor, while sweating a lot?
When prescription creams fail, MiraDry can eliminate underarm odor.
Aug 19, 2015
When prescription creams fail, MiraDry can eliminate underarm odor. This non-invasive device provides a unique, potentially permanent solution for shrinking both odor and sweat glands.
What is the best type of lipo for someone who's previously had the procedure? I've heard goo
The device used for liposuction is much less important than the doctor doing it.
Aug 19, 2015
The device used for liposuction is much less important than the doctor doing it. I have used every lipo device and still prefer manual liposuction. Some doctors like technology and always want to use the newest device. But no study in a first class journal has ever proved that one lipo instrument is better than another.
What's an effective treatment for melasma?
Melasma usually responds well to a series of superficial peels
Aug 19, 2015
Melasma usually responds well to a series of superficial peels. Deeper approaches, including many lasers can actually make the condition worse. The peels should be combined with bleaching agents, retinoids, and a good UVA sunscreen.
