If you are treating an area you have recently treated, then we typically wait a month between treatments. If you are treating an area that has not been treated before, you can have that treatment anytime.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve had a Coolsculpt treatment in another location recently. (Andrew Campbell, MD, Milwaukee Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Waiting period for Coolsculpting
There is no waiting period if you are treating a different area. If treating the same area, I would wait about 4-6 weeks before retreating but there are some doctors that will retreat sooner. There is no study to my knowledge that shows the optimal retreatment period. (Steven F. Weiner, MD, Panama City Facial Plastic Surgeon)
How much time should i wait before doing another coolsculpting?
In areas which have not yet been treated the manufacturers recommendations are that the area could be treated on the same day.
However if the treatment area overlaps onto a treated area then the recommendations are to wait 3 months before treating the same area.
An assessment by a physician who has extensive experience prior to treating adjacent areas is recommended. (R. Brannon Claytor, MD, FACS, Bryn Mawr Plastic Surgeon)
CoolSculpting Waiting Period
If you are treating a completely different area then there is no waiting period. If you are treating the exact same area again then our practice is to wait 2-3 months. (Michael A. Zadeh, MD, FACS, Sherman Oaks General Surgeon)
If you are treating different areas of the body, there is no need to wait at all between treatments. We commonly treat multiple areas of the body on the same patient in the same day.
CoolSculpting and Results — Consider VASER hi definition liposuction
If you are treating a different area there is no wait time. If you choose to re-treat the same area, I suggest waiting 4-6 weeks for optimal results. For immediate results, consider a VASER hi definition procedure. (Jason Emer, MD, Los Angeles Dermatologic Surgeon)
Additional CoolSculpting Treatments
If you are planning on CoolSculpting in an “untreated” or “unrelated/different” area than previously treated there is no required time interval, you can do it any time.
If you are seeking an additional treatment in a previously treated area then a minimum wait time is 4 weeks however most would recommend waiting 6-8 weeks before undergoing an additional treatment. (Paul Pietro, MD, Greenville Physician)
Coolsculpting. Time Between Treatments.
There is no need to wait for any amount of time between treatments if you are treating distinctly different areas of the body. There is a three finger overlap you can actually have when treating areas that are close together e.g. abdomen, flanks.
Many patients do multiple sessions in one day. However when doing a re-treatment of the same area we have a policy of waiting 2-3 months but encourage a full 4 months to be certain you are getting your full result from the initial treatment. (Nathan Taylor, MD, Marquette Plastic Surgeon)
As long as they are different spots, you can do as many spots as you’d like within one day. It will be important to then space treatments to the areas you did end up treating in order to measure progress/results. (Justin Harper, MD, Columbus Physician)
