Adipose tissue plays an important role in the life support of the body, but its excess health benefits do not and often make most people nervous, watching their appearance. In modern cosmetic medicine, there are several ways to combat surpluses of the subcutaneous fat layer, but the least traumatic is the procedure of cryolipolysis – the destruction of cells of adipose tissue by cooling them.
Coolsculpting is based on studies in the field of cryoexposure on body tissues (cooling), and is based on the property of fat cells to collapse faster than all other tissue cells when exposed to low temperatures of a certain level. Cells of subcutaneous fat break down gradually over several months, which does not overload the body with decomposition products, does not cause intoxication.
The device includes a vacuum applicator with differently shaped nozzles, which promote the most tight fit to the fat fold. The temperature and strength of the vacuum pump are adjusted individually.
During the procedure, the layer of fat tissue is captured by means of a nozzle, which makes it possible to separate it to some extent from a number of adjacent layers of muscle tissue and internal organs, so as not to cause their supercooling. After the procedure, the skin at the site of exposure turns red, temporarily loses sensitivity.
After a short period of time, unpleasant sensations pass and the skin acquires the original appearance. One cryolipolysis procedure lasts an hour. If it is necessary to perform a repeat procedure on the same area of the body, the interval is two months.
Cryolipolysis in just one session gives impetus to a decrease in subcutaneous fat. The final effect is observed after a lapse of three to four months.
Contraindications to cryolipolysis are skin diseases in the area of impact, keloid scars, not completely healed tissue, cold allergy, cryoglobulinemia, pregnancy, Reynaud’s syndrome.
Coolsculpting is effective only in cases when a person in parallel is charged with a low-calorie diet and is engaged in sports. Otherwise fatty fiber is replenished with new supplies.
INDICATIONS TO COOLSCULPTING
Indications are local fat deposits in various parts of the body: stomach and waist; sides; internal and external surface of the thigh; calves of legs; zone above the knees; the upper part of the hands; back area; “Widow’s hump” (fat deposits at the level of the seventh cervical vertebra). Local fat deposits in the lower third of the face: “second” chin, flew.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- Oncological diseases
- Pregnancy and lactation.
- Diseases of the skin, wounds, hernia, scars in the treatment area.
- Violation of blood clotting.
- Areas of impaired peripheral circulation.
- Pathological reaction to cold (paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria, cold urticaria).
- Raynaud’s disease.
- Obesity of III and IV degree.
RECOMMENDATIONS BEFORE AND AFTER THE PROCEDURE
Special preparation for the CoolSculting Zeltiq is not required. Reduction of the subcutaneous fatty layer occurs gradually; the first obvious results of cryolipolysis (decrease in thickness of the fat layer) are evaluated 2 months after the exposure.
In one session, up to 25% of excess fat can be eliminated. If further improvement is required, it is necessary to conduct one or two more procedures.
RESULT
The ideal body shape, harmonious proportions of the body: a flat stomach, a thin waist, slender hips, graceful calves, sharp knees, chiselled hands. Clearly outlined, young face oval without a “second” chin and “jowl” (accumulation of excess fat in the lower part of the cheeks).
Patient Reviews
I had Coolsculpting procedure on the inner and outer surface of the thigh. The goal was to look good in the skinny jeans. I came in late February in the clinic with a thigh size of 97cm. And in May I had wearing jeans with a thigh size already at 91cm! Now I want to do cryolipolysis on my stomach. Still, the flat stomach is very rejuvenating – both women and men. Susan, 29 years old.
I never had excess weight, but after 35 years of age, fat deposits appeared in the most prominent areas. The fat in the upper back is such a slight overhang on both sides. The belly became more prominent. My hands became thicker. At first I underwent a procedure on my back. The procedure was successful. Within a year, I got rid of the fat in the upper part of the arms and from the protruding tummy. Now again I can confidently wear tight clother. Yes, you do not see the result immediately, you have to wait a couple of months, but everything is very convenient, without pain, as in the case of surgery, for me it is important. Coolsculpting is a good addition to the sport! Moreover, with the help of sports, I could not solve these tasks, no matter how hard I tried. Rebecca, 43 years old.
